  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup cane sugar
  • 1 packet (2 tsp/7 g) active dry yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup warm unsweetened soy milk
  • 1 flax egg or an egg
  • 3 tbsp oil

  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp coconut sugar or brown sugar

DIRECTIONS

  • Combine dry ingredients in a bowl of a stand mixer. Stir in milk followed by oil and egg. Beat on high speed for 3 minutes.

  • Cut log into 8 even slices and arrange in pan. Cover with plastic & rise in a warm spot until doubled, 1 - 1 1/2 hours.

  • Bake in the preheated oven at 350° F for about 15 minutes. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before enjoying.

Matcha Cinnamon Rolls

matcha-cinnamon-rolls-ingredients

Cinnamon rolls are a traditional breakfast and a dessert recipe served commonly in North Europe and America. In my opinion, it’s a perfect way to start your day especially if the recipe includes my favorite superfood – matcha green tea powder.

The smallest amount of this fantastic powder will add an extra dose of wonderful green color and fresh taste you’ll absolutely adore while giving these beautiful rolls a generous amount of nutrients.

These easy rolls are light, soft, and healthy with a unique scent that will make your house smell like heaven for hours. Make sure to prepare several batches and save some for an afternoon snack the entire family will enjoy!

Traditionally, cinnamon rolls are served with different toppings or glaze. However, this time I have decided to keep the unique scent of matcha green tea powder and go along with it. Sprinkle some of the powder before serving and keep the fresh taste you’ll love. Enjoy!
