Having a good bread recipe while on a low-carb diet can definitely be a challenge and once you’ve found your favorite recipe you probably stick to it for months.
These delicious garlic buns contain only 2.7 grams of net carbs per bun and can be a fantastic way to replace your regular low-carb bread recipe every once in a while. They are made with four different types of seeds which gives these simple buns their unique texture and recognizable flavor.
This recipe is based on garlic but you can feel free to add any other herbs you like and create your own unique buns. You can also replace butter with some olive oil for a lovely Mediterranean version of these buns. Another great idea is to lightly brush your buns with some olive oil before baking to get an intense golden brown color on top and a wonderful flavor everybody will love.
Store your buns in air-tight containers and serve up to a week. Optionally, prepare few batches of the dough and freeze the balls until ready to bake. The unique garlic flavor makes these buns a perfect snack to be served on their own but you can also use them for sandwiches or serve as a side dish to your favorite low-carb meal. Enjoy!
